Can I access GPS ground speed and engine RPM data, over a serial port ? I don't see them listed in the output format docs.

Yes, page 25-7 for the RPM, and the NMEA section after that for ground speed. You can't get both on the same serial port at the same time however.

You can. Details on the format are in the SkyView Installation guide. The tach is in the serial EMS format, and GPS information is in the NMEA format. This does mean that to see both, you'd need to utilize two serial ports. Note that this information is also in the internally logged data that you can export for later analysis.
