Database transfer

Does anyone know if there is a way to download FAA obstacles,etc. off iphone instead of transferring to a usb memory stick. Seems like you should be able to download it to safari or icloud and then transfer it to skyview via the usb port. Too old and not savy enough to know why not.

This is possible with Android devices, but not Apple ones. Apple doesn't let you use the USB port in the way that would be needed to make this work.

It may be possible to use an external USB drive that plugs in to the Phone/Tablet and download the file to that drive, then plug the drive into the SkyView. Maybe someone with more Apple knowledge than I can point at something that would work.

I think the question was more about if there is a way to transfer data without using a USB drive, i.e. from a mobile device over SV's wifi (like Garmin's new implementation) or by directly plugging a phone into a SV USB port.

Which would be awesome, by the way!
