I'm try to figure out the best source for database updates. I have a Jeppeson subscription for Skyview Nav data, a Seattle Avionics subscription and Ifly EFB for wifi (takes forever, like watching paint dry). Suggestions?

That's not all, but it narrows it down. Based on numerous user reports, there is no single, perfect solution. They all have drawbacks, and they aren't all available everywhere. There are multiple threads about this here, which you may have already seen. Where are you located?

No, I use the standard Sandisk 32GB USB3.0 sticks. The small Dynon mini-USB's didn't last too long for me, I've had the Dynon system for 10 years in my plane. If you want the IFR charts and maps for all 50 states you'll need the 32GB size.

Don't format them as NTFS.

That's what Windows used to default to. But I think they changed the default to NTFS on Windows 11, and some people don't catch that.
