My DEK-180 is playing up again. When I power it up I get a black screen. All my other avionics are okay. After trying maybe 20 or 30 times it finally comes to life. It is then okay for the rest of the day regardless of the number of engine shutdowns / restarts. This has happened every morning for the last three days. The last time I used the plane it did this to a lesser extent (finally booted up after 2 - 3 restarts). It seems as though it needs to sit in the sun for an hour before it will cooperate. Yesterday after it started the display did become unusual in that it lost its colour and was black/grey/white for a couple of seconds before regaining its normal colours.
The plane only has 23 hours on it at the moment. Does it sound like it needs to be returned for repairs or is it possible a firmware update or is there some other troubleshoot the issue.
