On the GTX you only need to set CHNL 1 IN to Icarus ALT - CHNL 1 OUT = OFF & configure the SV Serial port you wired it to.

Hi Jake
I believe this what I did today but the 327 does send altitude to ATC...They can see the code just fine but no altitude..

Are these the only things I have to modified in the 327 set up??
If so I'll croscheck again when I'm back from the Sim to see exactly what I've got..

Thanks for your help

A little trap with the GTX - you have to unhighlight the relative boxes in the GTX for your selection to be saved. Did you manage to save pressure Alt as feet rather than Flight LVL ?

On the SV side of setup - which port did you use ? you may need to use a different one. Is it set to ICARUS (page 4-12 of Dynon manual) & TX counter incrementing numbers ?

Hi Jake
I did used Port # 2 for the GTX but I can't recall what it says though, I'll check next time I'm at the hangar.

It is set to Icarus 100 if I 'm not mistaken

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jake  or Support
Today I checked the setting on my GTX-327 and here's what I have

RS-232  IMPUT                             OUTPUT
CHNL 1 #  Icarus Alt                    ICARUS ALT
CHNL 2 #  OFF
----------------------------------------------------------
RS-232
CH1  # P ALT       + _ _ _ _ _ _  FT
CH2  # OFF          + _ _ _ _ _ _  FT
----------------------------------------------
daaabbbooo
Gray code  4124124124  Decoded
code #       0000000000  Altitude _ _ _ _ _ _  FT
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I would assume I should have some sort of Press Alt reading in one of those but I don't..
These readings were taken on the ground if it make a difference.....?
-----------------------------------------------------------

''

I saved it in Feet...
------------------------------------------

''TX counter incrementing numbers ?''

I"m positive it does but I will check again next time i'm at the hangar

As there have been some issues with the SV port 1 & 2 with s/ware 3.1.1 (changing to another port has 'fixed' it for some) I'd update to s/ware 3.2 but don't change the port. Let us know if the TX is incrementing as mentioned before. ;)

I've sent you a pm.

Hi Jake
I'm on my way to the hangar and will check all the setting ,including the serial port reading to see if it is incrementing and will report back the results.

I read your PM ( thanks for the offer ) and will keep you advise if required.

Thanks  a lot for your help,

Cheers

Ok here's the report...

Today I finally got the transponder ( GTX 327 ) to work properly and here's my set up..

------------------------------------------------
To Jake  and Dynon Support
Today I checked the setting on my GTX-327 and here's what I have

My GTX-327 is connected to Serial port # 2 using the provided SV setting for a GTX 327.

Now here are the setting on the GTX itself.

RS-232  IMPUT                             OUTPUT
CHNL 1 #  OFF                             Remote
CHNL 2 #  ICARUS ALT 100FT  ( Remember txpr to serial # 2 )
----------------------------------------------------------
RS-232
CH1  # OFF          + _ _ _ _ _ _  FT
CH2  # PALT         -100_ _   _ _  FT ( Field elev:140', alt: 30.20 ) so it match with the -100ft (29.92) shown on the txpr.( reading taken on the ground )

-------------------------------------
I went flying and cross-checked with ATC and the Mode C was perfect..

Problem solved..

Thanks everyone for your help and feed back, it was gratly appreciated.

Cheers
