Direct to

Flying this afternoon with v12 SW I selected direct to and the magenta line was displaced from the current location by a mile or more. I tried several times with the same result. Later < 10 minutes it was back to working as expected. The first thought was lack of sat orientation but I then thought the end of the magenta line still would be at the same point as the aircraft symbol but possibly inaccurate! Any ideas? I never saw this with V11 or earlier.

Improved: When starting navigation via the "direct-to" feature, SkyView now anticipates the initial turn (if one is required) and starts navigating from the end of that initial turn. This eliminates s-turning after the initial turn towards the "direct-to" destination.

I assume you were not pointed at the DTO target you chose, and the system was anticipating the turn for you.

RTCL got it, ill play with that when I fly next. I'll see if a standard rate turn will get me there or close.
