This may be a dumb question, but is there any way to have a Skyview HDX display a checklist on bootup by default, similar to Garmin G3X functionality? It would be nice to go straight to the startup checklist for example, even though it's not too many clicks away to get there manually.

Sorry - there isn't a way to do this in SkyView.
Is there a way to put a feature request in for that? It seems logical that, if a checklist exists, displaying the startup checklist split-screen with the PFD on boot-up would be the safe thing for everyone. I know that not everybody uses checklists, but as a commercial pilot I can say that they really should!

Split-screen with the *EMS* would be a better choice, IMO. PFD is of no use on the ground when starting the engine.
While true, you also need to consider the situation of a possible restart in flight, in which case you don't want to be hunting around for the PFD. Most people that I know with Dynon have the EMS along the bottom of the PFD anyway, so in this case you'd get all 3 (PFD, checklist, and the "small" EMS display).

Except the SV non-HDX models don't have the EMS along the bottom as an option. Plus, a reboot in flight is going to be a completely different thing than a reboot when starting up on the ground. So you're trying to solve two problems with one solution. Actually, sounds more like a solution in search of a problem to me.
