display scale only at 1.2 miles and 1200 miles.

Display quit in flight. Turned it off and on and was only able to get 1.2 mile display distance or 1200 mile display distance. Then it started flicking between them and added 800 mile scale sometimes. Is this a software problem or what. Thanks
