Displaying track instead of heading

Dear Dynon,

I've chosen to not mount the remote compass module. I have a panel mounted compass and two GPS systems in my VFR only RV6. As I do appear to have interference from other avionics within the panel I've had to turn off the heading indication.

With appropriate GPS connectivity, why not have the option to display track as heading on the D10A?

The heading tape is heading on all EFIS displays. It's dangerous to start making systems that display something different (track) on something that is always used for one thing (heading). We're trying to make our EFIS more standardized, not less.

We'll probably add a track indicator to the heading tape sometime soon, but you'll need to have the heading tape turned on to see it.

Have you calibrated your internal compass? They are not calibrated at all at the factory.

Point taken, standardization is important. I'll perform the calibration as suggested....
