I generally agree about the 'high' quality but let me give you 3 reasons why
I'm cautious -
1. I can't afford to totally believe that what the instruments are saying is true - for example, too late to do anything if you have serious engine problems due under oil emp or pressure readings.
2. Someone I know was chasing a higher that expected oil temperature reading, he modified cowl/ fitted larger cooler & then fitted dual coolers with no improvement. When he was asked if he checked that what he was seeing on the gauge was accurate the reply was - it is all NEW so must be okay. WRONG - in this case it turns out that there was a 'bug' in the EMS software. There was nothing wrong with it in the first place. Go figure :
3. Some Aviation Regulators require instruments to be calibration checked, especially for IFR (Instrument Flight) aircraft.
