Does the internal battery have a fuse or CL circ?

Does the internal backup battery have a fuse inside it or a current limiter circuit?

I ask because the edges of the metal around the area of the connector are sharp and could cut the insulation of the battery and connector wires over time.

I do not want a 16V Lion battery melting down in my cockpit any time soon........

The battery has an internal protection circuit that protects against overcharge, undercharge, shorts, etc. This is true of both SkyView and D10/D100 products.
