DSAB connections

I have a D100, AP74, SL 30, intercom and Lowrance GPS. Stein did the center stack wiring.
Now I have got around to connecting the D120 EMS. There are 2 pairs of twisted wires coming from the EMS that I believe are part of the DSAB network. Where should they be connected too? Do I use both pairs?

Also, am I correct in thinking that the 5v wire should be connected to some kind of buss on the wirewall to simplify sensor connections?

Thanks

Tim

I would start by taking a look at the installation manuals for the D100 and D120 as they show you how the DSAB wiring connects.

The short answer is that the two sets of DSAB wiring are connected internally to the D120 and you can use one set or both of them in your network wiring. Connect at least one set of them to the DSAB wiring that Stein did between the D100 and the AP74.

You can make a bus out of the 5v out or just spice into it when needed.

So after further study (!) the DSAB wiring from the D100 is wired into my AP74. So to connect my EMS DSAB wires I need to pick a pair and then connect it to the AP74 or the D100. Do I open up the connector and locate pins or just find the twisted pair between the AP74 and D100 and splice? :-/

Does not matter, it can be hard to get more than one wire in those mil spec pins so it might be easier to splice.
