After many months of working fine, why would my D-180 suddenly give me an error message, and, when reconfigured, not be able to find the HS-34, remote compass, outside air temp probe, etc.? Power is on, but lights do not blink on the HS-34 when turned on.

Did you happen to note if any of the other Dynon devices were seen under DSAB>STATUS BEFORE you reconfigured?

Try reconfiguring a few times, leaving one device off the network (unpowered) each time to figure out which of them might be behaving badly. If it's none of them, then it could be the D180 itself.

I will disconnect power for the HS-34 and reconfig a few times. After reconfig a couple times, I did not get error message any more, but status still did not show any thing connected (bus, compass, OAT...) Thanks.

Magically (without any known explanation) the light appeared on the HS-34 (that was not present during the time the network was off line). When I reconfiged under this circumstance, it found everything. This is not the first time the HS-34 disappeared, then showed up a couple weeks later. I will keep watching, but all is working now.
