DSAB  and AP servo reqirements

I have been leading the wiring in the conduit in the wings of my Glasair. I have read I need 5 wires for the servos. I planned for a power wire, one ground, one AP disconnect and two wires for the DSAB. My plan is to make all these 20ga. The distance from the D180 to the roll servo will be about 15 feet. Will this be sufficient? I have heard the DSAB wires referred to in other posts as a twisted pair. Do they need to be twisted together or can they just be run as part of the five total wires? I read there is little problem with interference but need to make sure. The conduit will also contain shielded strobe wires, nav light power and ground wires and three wires from the fuel sender. It is a busy conduit on that side! The conduit is 1" ID.

Re: DSAB  and AP servo reqirements

You may want to consider if 20ga is enough to run 2A for 15 feet on the power side.

If you are running the DSAB right next to all that other stuff, we'd probably like to see the two wires be twisted. Twisting gives improved noise immunity, and with strobe wires in proximity, that may be handy.

In most installs we don't absolutely require twisted pair because the noise isn't generally that bad.

I will take a look at the power and ground wires for proper gauge. Is it safe to assume 20 ga will be sufficient for disconnect and DSAB? I will go with the twisted pair if it will eliminate potential problems.

20ga is fine for DSAB and disconnect. They are effectively zero current wires.
