I have two D700 displays running in my panel. If I need to remove one for repair and run with a single D700 what do I need to do with the vacant connectors? Somewhere I recall something about a null connector of some sort being required. Any insight from users or Dynon will be appreciated!!

The only issue you'll have is if you have something plugged into both D9 connectors on the back. If so, you need to plug these into one another, but they are the same gender so you need a M-M connector.

The D37 can just be disconnected and left free.
