Dual GPS receivers and RS-232 to SV-ARINC-429

I have dual Garmin 420W boxes. From the Skyview install manual, it appears that the SV-ARINC-429 module will accept the RS-232 data from only one of the GPS 420W boxes (on pin 3).

Am I reading this correctly?

Yes, but that is by design. The RS-232 is only used to "complete" the otherwise incomplete raw GPS positional data set that comes over ARINC-429 by augmenting it with Aviation format serial data. It doesn't affect SkyView's ability to see both sources' navigational information.
