I have dual SV-1000s and each has a WIFI adapter.

Can I run multiple iPads with this system?

In other words, it would be nice to have one iPad displaying ForeFlight and the second displaying Jepp FD charts.

THANKS!!!

Now I'm not 100%, and don't have 2 iPads handy right now to test, but SkyView basically acts as a hot spot, and so I think there's a good chance this will work to allow multiple copies of ForeFlight to be able to receive GPS from SkyView and be able to transfer flight plans. All that said, I'm not sure what what you mean by having second iPad display Jepp charts (with regards to SkyView, anyway).

Thanks for the reply. I have installed on the instrument panel iPad mount and the goal is to have my iPad sitting next to the Skyview screen with foreflight displayed on the iPad.

Since I use jeppesen for instrument approach plates and since jeppesen can show ship position on the chart it would be ideal to have a second iPad on my lap to display the instrument approach charts.

So the question is if I have the Wi-Fi adapters humming can one iPad View the ship position on for flight and a second iPad view the ship position on jeppesen at the same time?

I recommend you not get too far down this path before you fly configured as you suggest. Having my iPad running ForeFlight is a superb flight planner but it is, at best, a good comparison and backup tool in the cockpit. It simply does not compare with the Dynon SkyView display for flying IFR (I assume you are using a GPS navigator and the Dynon ARINC module).

I never rely on the iPad for any element of IFR flight.

So one technical point that might cut to the root of your question: Only applications that are "SkyView-aware" can grab SkyView's GPS feed. The Jepp app isn't, and so you'd need to feed it with a different GPS source.
