Setting up dual 10" Touch SkyView displays. Also have Garmin GTN625. GPS 2020 antenna and Garmin GA35 antenna. I'm getting good satellites in both. I don't understand all the setup.
I have Serial Port 5 as GPS-2020 in POS1.
How do I set up the Garmin GPS as the IFR input source? The Garmin runs through ARINC-429.
I don't understand the data flow logic.
Do I need to set up ARINC on Serial Port 4? If so, what POS or GPS number do I use?
I've been going through chapter 8 GPS, chapter 11 TXPNDR, chapter 12 ARINC and chapter 15 ADSB.

I do not understand what role the term POS does.
I do not understand what data feeds what, in other words, how does ARINC feed into Serial Port settings?
I think I know that to fly IFR I need to be on the Garmin and apparently I ensure that by selecting it on the map page near the HSI display, but I haven't developed that line of thought yet.

Is there a tutorial that explains not only how to set up the SkyView system by the logic behind it? I HAVE read the manual.

No, the ARINC does not get set up on a display serial port. However, a serial line does end up being connected between the GTN and a dedicated serial port on the ARINC module, per its installation instructions.

POS means that the device is a position source only. GPS means it's both a position device and one capable of offering it's own GPS navigation. You'll set that up for the GTN in the ARINC setup on SkyView.

You might give our support team a call (contact info below) - we'd be happy to explain it a bit more.

With your hints and reviewing the manual I think I got the correct settings input today. Thanks again for the help.
