DUC file extension

Folks, new here and bought a new LSA with Dynon HDX and need to update. I am getting the dowloand in a .duc file fortmat. How to open it and save it in the root of the thumb drive. Sorry, electronics is not my forte

You don't open it, you just download the file and copy it to the root directory of the thumb drive (not in a sub-directory / folder. Then you plug the thumb drive into the Skyview and load the file into all screens separately

Go back to Dynon site and check out instructions in area where downloads come, this has all the software and different methods to install.
As a general summary, the steps you will need to you will need to are:
  1. Download New files to your PC.
  2. Transfer the files to a USB stick. Files must be in the "root" of the USB stick. In other words, they can not be in a folder or directory.
  3. Power up your SkyView.
  4. Insert the USB stick into a SkyView USB port.
  5. Use the SkyView Setup Menu to load the New files.
  6. Reboot SkyView.
  7. Some files need to be loaded on each display, while others need only be loaded on one SkyView display in a system (they synchronize automatically). The SkyView Software Downloads Page indicates which of these procedures is appropriate for each file type.
