Can. anyone explain autolilot roll/slip. I am calibrating the servos for my RV9. I have only flown Piper cubs/ Stampes and similar rag & tube aircraft. Need advice - big time!
Ta !Suggest you start with pilot user guide page 8-10 for details.
Thanks I am still in the build stage trying to get ready for 1st flight. I had another try today and succeeded with the initial calibration and test routine (Manual page 10-14) after I had done a network status check that reported both servos were there. There were a few second of ratchet/thumping noise from the roll servo when I did a full & free movement input on the stick, as instructed by the on screen wizard, that were worrying but all seem Ok now. I do have standard servos and I have used the outermost holes on both as per the installation guide. Thanks for the helpPerhaps you have reduced the servo torque in AP settings? Leave it at 100%
Next thing is do you have it out of trim? If you do not have electric trim or if the plane rolls a lot naturally, fix that.
Also, you should have the connecting rod connected to the servo arm on the middle hole (standard arm). Make sure it cannot go over centre either.
