Can. anyone explain autolilot roll/slip. I am calibrating the servos for my RV9. I have only flown Piper cubs/ Stampes and similar rag & tube aircraft. Need advice - big time!

Perhaps you have reduced the servo torque in AP settings? Leave it at 100%

Next thing is do you have it out of trim? If you do not have electric trim or if the plane rolls a lot naturally, fix that.

Also, you should have the connecting rod connected to the servo arm on the middle hole (standard arm). Make sure it cannot go over centre either.

Thanks I am still in the build stage trying to get ready for 1st flight. I had another try today and succeeded with the initial calibration and test routine (Manual page 10-14) after I had done a network status check that reported both servos were there. There were a few second of ratchet/thumping noise from the roll servo when I did a full & free movement input on the stick, as instructed by the on screen wizard, that were worrying but all seem Ok now. I do have standard servos and I have used the outermost holes on both as per the installation guide. Thanks for the help
