We've heard from enough BMA customers lately that we've got something cooked up. See details of our rebate offering.

As a BMA owner, I'm very interested by this offer.Anyone knows what is included in the Skyview package and what the price is going to be for 10'' and a 7 '' screen?
Thanks :)

We haven't published pricing on SkyView yet. The SkyView can be anything you want it to be. Buy one screen, two screens (or even three!), one ADAHRS, or two, buy the EMS, or skip it. You get to build the system that works for you. As mentioned in the rebate info page, you will need to buy at least a screen and an ADAHRS module (primary flight instruments) to qualify for the rebate.

Re: Dynon Avionics Offers $1000 Rebate to BMA Owne

We are converting our Lancair ES panel from a Blue Mountain Gen 3 EFIS/One to a Dynon Skyview. I understand there have been a lot of folks who have, or are doing this. I would like to discuss the engine management transition from the BMA to the Dynon EMS. I need advice on using existing sensors, tricks using hall effect amp sensors, fuel probe adapters and on and on.

I also would welcome any other advice on subjects like integrating Garmin 480, SL30, 330S, TRu Trak DFC 250A AP. Adapting the 10 inch Dynon to the hole left by the BMA scree. ... etc.

Contact me off line if you are willing to share your trials and tribulations.

jschroeder@perigee.net.

Thanks,

John

You will need new CHT probes (BMA uses thermister type). EGT's will work with the SkyView. You'll need new fuel and oil pressure senders. New OAT sender, new amp sensors. Fuel flow will work. I also had to buy a new oil temp sensor.....

There are other posts about Blue Mountain probe interoperability both on this forum and on the Vans Air Force forums.  Search on the phrase "blue mountain" and you should find the posts easily.

Will the standard Westach oil and fuel pressure senders I used with my BMA system not function with the Skyview EMS?  Don't have the part numbers available here at home.

We don't have characterizations for SkyView for those sensors, although, shortly (likely early January), there will be support for a couple of the Westach oil temperature sensors: http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Third_Party_Two_Wire_Oil_Temperature_Sensors
