given a very weak (non existent) presence of Dynon on social media, it’s hard to figure out what to expect of AirVenture? Anybody has a feel, would guess? Avidyne, Garmin and even RV already have their teasers out. I know I would like to hear about Mooney AP update but that would be like Christmas in the summer…

My avionics shop called me and wanted to confirm I still wanted my AP for my 182. Of course I do and they proceeded to tell me that had reason to believe Dynon was to announce the approval of the 182 AP. That’s the only bit of info I have heard. Unfortunately I am not going this year.

I had my shop check with Dynon today and sounds like the rumors are true.. approval for the 182 is only waiting on STC paperwork completion and that should be done in about 30 days. Shipping for 182 approved models 30 days there after…Sweet

To be VERY clear: NO ONE AT DYNON knows when the C182 will gain final approval. Yes, it appears to be home stretch. But also, we very much don't control the FAA's final approval schedule. We've been wrong on this before.
