Dynon Support.

Further to my question of two weeks ago re: GNC 420 and GNS 430, Garmin has informed me that the GNC 420 outputs the same RS232 Aviation Format as the GNS 430. This allows me to use the SL30 Nav/Com and the less expensive Garmin GNC420 GPS/Com. This gives me the GPS, two comms and the Nav function. Just thought you would want to know.

Cheers.

Just keep resale value in mind, in case you once would like to trade the GNC 420. The GNS 430 is not that much more expensive than the 420, but in resale it's much simpler to realize a good price for.

As I could further understand, Dynon seems to be considering the launch of a converter that allows to use the 430's NAV data on the EFIS.

Cheers

Thomas ;)

Thanks for that good advice. When they do launch the converter, I'll only need a SL40 comm at considerably less money. I'm just about ready to order and I needed a few opinions. Hopfully, Dynon can give us a little hint as to when this function will be offered. I've got two D10A's in a Sportsman.
