most of what you just posted aren’t Dynon issues.

Incorrect, if those features I mentioned are built in to the non-Dynon audio controller AND not supported via Dynon firmware then it IS most certainly a Dynon failure to fully support the audio panel. Those missing capabilities I mentioned are also stated as features of the new Dynon remote audio panel. Confirmed with Dynon HDX lead support too and has statement is to wait for 17.7 for fuller support of the new audio panel. One other note, the remote audio panel is more full supported in the AFS panels.

After a month of flying my RV9A with this new remote audio panel all I have is promises of “future” support of the missing features list on Dynon literature and bugs such as clipped audio from HDX generated audio messages to name a few.

Not incorrect.

If you are having issues with Bluetooth audio within the audio panel, that is not a Dynon integration issue.

Some are integration issues, yes, but some sound like user error or PSEngineering issues.

You have the guidance and recommendations from the items that aware Dynon issues. It makes sense that they got the main functionality working and released before the additional features.

Not the huge catastrophe you’re making it out to be.

If you currently have an IFR navigator (mine is an IFD440) and don't add the Dynon navigator, will there be a change in flight plan functionality? Or will it require the navigator upgrade to see that functionality? My guess is no, but need to ask the question.

Your post and others are the same questions I have. Are those of us who decided to go with a GPS Navigator to have full IFR capabilities both VOR/LOC and RNAV going to be left behind? I asked Dynon's President Brad Thurow that question at AirVenture. He assured me that the capabilities will be available to us, especially the IFD series. I really don't see how, the software is being developed around Dynon's new IFR navigation. My perspective is Dynon needs to ensure those of us who spent considerable amount of money adding IFR because Dynon did not have that capability are going to have the same functionality. My thoughts, would like to hear from Dynon.

You can currently have a flight plan in your Dynon or IFD, same with the new update except Dynon will be able to do GPS IFR natively.

True, I do have the flight plan from IFD to Dynon. But, we cannot modify the flight plan on the Dynon to the IFD. Plus, VNAV waypoints on an IAP are not available on the Dynon. Just VNAV in relationship to the arrival airport. The new software for the new Dynon IFR navigator is advertised to do all of that, but will not interface with the IFD in the current plans. I really do not want to spend tons more money and modification to the existing install. Dynon should step up and support everyone who currently has a IFR navigator installed since nothing was available previously. Garmin and Avidyne products currently support across platforms.
