Hi friends,
I had the same problem
http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1132560856
… and I solve it now!
The wire to the EDC incl. OAT in my Fascination D4BK (full reinforced plastic) were placed directly under the antenna plate (the VHF antenna is mounted *in* the fuselage tail). The distance between EDC and antenna is approx. 1m.

First through this thread I noticed, that the loss of connection was only then if I send on a certain frequency.
I covered the wire and the EDC with a special fabric, that 99,8% of the electro-magnetic radiation absorbed. And the problem was solved! No loss of connection and/or OAT. Also the compass indication is completely correct. Perfect!

The picture does not show the complete covering yet! Only when the EDC was also covered, it works.

This special fabric is used to eliminate the mobilphone-radiation in textiles. I hope, this note can help.

Rene,
Are you running our newest firmware? This has solved almost all of the problems for our customers.

Glad you found another solution as well.

Yes, in the first step I update the system with the newest firmware, unfortunately the problem was not solved with that.
In the second step I covered only this part of the wire (see picture) near and under the antenna. With that 80% of the trouble was eliminated. With the full covering including the EDC box the problem was 100% solved.

... and I´m so happy, that I consider to change onto the D100 now! In this connection: can the EFIS D10A be reprogrammed as EMS?

Rene,
Thanks for the information about what fixed it. This might help us make it even better in the future.

The EFIS and EMS have totally different hardware. The EFIS only has 25 pins on the back but the EMS has 62! We can't convert an EFIS to an EMS.
