Has anyone successfully connected the Airmap 2000c to the D10A yet? If so how does it perform generally and with the HSI page?

The D10A and Lowrance Airmap 1000 in my RV-6 have established a fully functional relationship.

I'm not aware of any reason why you shouldn't have the same outcome with your 2000C.

I have a D10A and a Lowrance airmap 1000. I have connected the 1000 to the Serial Rx (yellow wire) on the update harness, however, the D10A does not recognize anything attached/ hooked up on the HSI setup page :-/.

Do I need to set anything up on the airmap 1000.

There's a menu buried in the the Lowrance that both toggles on the serial output and lets you select the different NMEA sentences you want outputted. We want these ones enabled.
