I read on a data sheet that the EFIS-D100 can accept serial data in from GPS devices.  The lowrance airmap 2000c has an NMEA 0183 VER. 2.0 com port available.  Can the EFIS D100 take data from this port and display the information on its screen?

What would it display, and how would it be interfaced?

Thanks,

Bob

The GPS data is used to display an HSI on the EFIS. It can also be used to calculate winds aloft in real time if you have an OAT as well.

The instructions on how to hook it up are in the install manual, but basically you run one wire from the GPS data cable into the serial connector on the EFIS that you use to do firmware updates.

Thanks for the possitive answer and great response time! ....I think you might be working way too hard...11PM on a Friday night??? ... if this is the typical Dynon response you have just earned a new customer!

Thanks again,

Bob
