Hi Dynon

Could it be possible to modify the airspeed data output by alternating IAS and TAS (assuming OAT is known) depending on value of the last bit of  the status bitmask (like you do for altitude, pressure altitude  , turn rate and VSI)

Many thanks

Hi Dynonsupport

It seems that this suggestion doesn't inspire you . Is it clear enough for you or do you want more explanations ?

This suggestion would permit to record the TAS and the IAS and make useful comparison with Ground Speed ( performance , wind calculation and so on )

Thanks

Bertrand

It is possible for us to do this, but we do not have any changes planned for the serial stream, so it is unlikely to happen. Changes to the serial stream are not easy given the architecture of our system.

The EFIS now stores all data inside, including GPS data, so if you are looking to do measurements later on the ground, you can do this with the internal datalog.
