N8XY SUPERV8 400 hrs, & Ready for SV panel installation.
Just purchased a SEATTLE AVIONICS subscription. Very curious however, trying to determine which files I need and where to put them on the specially prepared thumb drive. My expectations are Low Alt IFR, VFR Sectional, Airport Diagrams, Airport Data, & Approach Plates. My issue is that Dynon does not appear to explain what files are compatible with Seattle, nor do they promote an explanation as to where to put the files on the thumb drive. Seattle on the other hand does not explain what files Dynon requires using a common naming convention that corresponds with the download file name. It appears to me that for a process which must be performed every 56 days, this process is overly encumbered with incomplete information from both sides. I will be happy to publish my findings once they become clear to me.

You need to prep one thumb drive for each screen. Put the thumb drive (two at the same time is okay), start the program manager. Select the charts, diagrams, and plates you want. Once started go to bed. 1st Load may take most of the night. Remove the drive(s). Go to the airport and put the drives in the back of your Skyview. Go fly and use. The thumb drive(s) must remain in the display(s) to be used. You might want extra thumb drives to leave in you home computer to be automatically updated as new charts are released.
