The EGT sensors on my Rotax 912 keep breaking down.
Temperatures are quit normal and the defective sensors are not damaged and look perfect.
The measured value starts going up and down some + and- 100 degrees for a few few hours and completely breaks down shortly after.
Average lifetime of sensors has been 60 to 70 hours.
Anybody else having these problems or a clue why this happens.

Other than this Skyview is great. Quite happy with 7.0 and hope the European airport maps will appear soon.

Jack - EGTs definitely age, and our customers seem to have a wide range of experiences in terms of how long they last, from dozens of hours to hundreds (no failure). What are the normal in-flight EGT temps that you're seeing? Also, when was the last time you replaced them, out of curiousity?

Davesplace - those two things don't have any relation - we'd suspect that a wire or connection. What are you seeing on that EGT temperature that isn't working any longer?
