First off, let me say how amazed I am at the way my Dynon/Garmin network is going.  For the most part, everything is connected and communicating very well!

I am down to the nitty-gritty of getting my airplane ready for its first flight.  The glitch that has arisen:  I bought my fuel capacitance converters from Van's, since I bought everything else relating to the airframe from Vans.  Connecting these EI capacitance converters to the EMS power output (Flow Power; pin 15) had an immediate affect on my EMS D10:  The indicated voltage of the battery dropped from 12v to roughly 8, and the indicated manifold pressure (engine off) went from local baro pressure to about 34 inches.  The screen seemed a bit unsteady as well.  Remove power from the EI P-300Cs, and all's well again.

Powering the converters from another source seems okay, though I haven't been able to fill up the tanks and configure things yet.

The obvious solution seems to be to power my capacitance converters directly from the bus, but I kinda had my heart set on the neat installation I had going.

So:  EI capacitance-voltage converters?  Compatible, or not?

The EI converters are not compatible. They put out a frequency, not a voltage.

Also, they put out a 12V pulse, and our inputs are only 5V compatible. This 12V messes up some voltages inside which causes all readings to go a bit awry.

Dynon sells converters, and there are other fuel probes out there that work as well.
