Is there a method to have two ammeters on SV? Pins 24 and 25 are for the primary alternator with the 60 amp shunt. I am running a B&C 8 amp aux alt, can any of the general pins be used for setting up a second shunt?

Check the "What's Next" posts, back at #5, I think.  The answer is yes to the exact same question I asked back in October. Now I need to find out what the CS-01 is and how to wire it. Shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks
Bob

We slip-streamed multiple AMPS monitoring capability into SkyView recently by adding support of the GRT CS-01 Hall Effect Current Sensor which connects to one of the three enhanced general purpose inputs - Pins 8, 22, or 31. A (one, or more) CS-01 can be displayed on the EMS page in addition to the AMPS Shunt.

Of course, you can also display AMPS on the EMS page that is being generated by the optional VP-X.

The CS-01 is a hall effect current sensor that GRT Avionics sells. Connection and configuration instructions are in the latest SkyView Installation Guide on our site.

I added a double pole switch and used only pins 24-25. I just switch to which one I want to read.

When adding a DP switch to "switch" the signal between two power generating sources (what is your second source? a B&C 8AMP?) what shunt do your use? I don't see any small amp rated devices, can you use a 50A shunt? Where did you tie into the second source?
