Anyone capturing engine data from an EMS D10 (non-A) using a serial-usb converter to an android device, or using some device other than a PC? I've seen the EFIS Recorder software, but would prefer something a bit less bulky than a PC.

Thanks,

Really depends on what you want to do. EFIS Recorder isn't a serial capture program. It's a flight data recorder, which explains the size. There is an app to capture serial data, or at least there used to be, called USB Serial Terminal (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=project.usbserialterminal). But that's just data capture, nothing else. You'd need something more to actually do something with that data, like display or logging.

There's also pfodApp (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.forward.pfodApp). This page discusses logging with it:

Many thanks for the links. Looks like it shouldn't be too big a feat to save the data, and converting it into spreadsheet format should be fairly straightforward after that.
