EMS D120

I have EMS D120 installed on airplane with 2002 Corvette LS6 engine and have problems with coolant and oil temp. readings. And I would like to install new temp probe "UMA p/n 1B7"(Spruce P/n 10-02376). I will need to upgrade firmware on EMS D120 only, or on EFIS D100 to?(They are NOT interconnected). Do I will lose all my settings on EMS?

If they're not connected, you can upgrade just the EMS-D120. Your settings should remain intact.

What about oil/coolant temp. probe UMA 1B7? Will it work with EMS D120?

The 1b1 and 1b3 are supported via sensor type 10. The 1b7 looks to be the same sensor with a different physical interface, so it should work: http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Third_Party_Two_Wire_Oil_Temperature_Sensors

Actually, one caveat here: there's a bug in the characterization that we haven't yet released a full production version of software for. If you end up installing this sensor, email our support team at support at dynonavionics dot com if you'd like to run the "release candidate" software that has a fix for this. Mention case 175399 in your email.

Coolant temp. on our D120 started jumping from normal readings 60-80 C to 125 C and back many times in meter of seconds. We use standard LS7 coolant temp. sensor on our LS6 engine. We did installed new sensor, but it's doing same thing. What it's can be?

If it used to work and is the only thing misbehaving, it's almost definitely not the EMS. I'd probably check the wiring to the sensor from end to end, looking for something intermittent.
