I'm not finding the method for how to engage only the altitude hold servo without engaging the directional/roll servo? The AP button and Level button engage both. Toggling to alt hold in the screen commands arms pitch for altitude hold but also arms roll.

The answer is probably so obvious I can't see it and didn't find it in the manual.

If you are using the advanced autopilot you can simply go to AUTOPILOT>ROLL and you will see the active roll mode. If you had just turned on the autopilot it will be either HDG or TRK. Simply touch the highlighted mode button and it will disengage leaving altitude mode engaged. Your flight director will change to show this as well. If you are simply looking to do some short term flying by hand you may want to consider reading the manual to use the CWS (control wheel steering) mode.

So, I'm reading you say the only way is to engage both then turn off the one you don't want on, where you want only one axis being controlled?

thx for the insights.

In Simplified mode, it seems so, yes.

In Expert mode, you can turn on "Alt. Hold" only - don't need to turn on both - without turning on any roll related control. Or vice versa - turn on track without alt. hold, etc.
