Export Flight Plan Fails after Changing USB Drive

Not a big deal but thought I'd report it ...

When I attempted to export a flight plan after changing the USB drive that was plugged in (from one to another) the operation failed with an error diagnostic -- something like "Unable, no USB memory installed".  Apparently, the system detected removal of the original drive but seemed not to detect installation of the second.

As a workaround, I performed a screen capture (it worked fine) and re-exported the flight plan successfully.

Single 10-inch SkyView, version 7.

It can take 30 seconds or so to detect a new drive. Did you try the flight plan export right after you plugged it in or was it after a while?

I had tried to export immediately after plugging it in.

Today I attempted a similar experiment but with screenshots instead of exporting flight plans (less button pressing in flight <g>).  Same error ("no USB drive") on an attempt immediately after swapping but waiting a short (undetermined) period of time gave success.

So it's not a defect.  But a better diagnostic message and/or a note in the manual would help.  (Perhaps it's already in the manual and I've missed it.)

Thanks for your fast response and accurate diagnosis.
