Hello;
Novice here, trying to revise my skyview settings so my OAT reads in Fahrenheit, and my engine time reads in tach time rather than hobbs time.  Prior to my most recent software update, the OAT was in Fahrenheit, and I have never had the tach time display.  I have read all through the skyview install manual with no luck.
Anyone out there got any good ideas on how to make this happen??.
Actually, I would like to have both tach and hobbs time.

thanks
Tom O.

From the Skyview System Installation Guide:
SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > MEASUREMENT UNITS to change temperature displayed units

The Installation Manual also points to a Screen Layout Editor under the EMS Setup menu. You have to add a tach time gauge to your EMS screen.

Tom,
Since this is an RV-12, I assume you loaded the software from Vans? If so, this resets your settings to the way Vans has the RV-12 set up.

They don't show Tach time because Rotax doesn't allow Tach time for any maintenance on the Rotax 912 engine, so it's considered kind of a useless thing to display.

Let us know where you loaded the software from so we can help you on how to get back to where you were.

Yes I did load the software from Van's, so that answers that question.  I understand using the hobbs time for maintenance, and do follow that.  I want tach time to give me a more accurate estimate of fuel burn.  At each fillup, I divide gallons by hobbs hours, and I come up with about 3.2 GPH.  I know the fuel burn is greater than that, and I would like to see how it measures using tach time.

Thank you
Tom O.
