Fatal reboot

Today I noticed that my fuel quantity has reset itself to full (42 gal). I went to the hardware calibration page on my SVD1000 to check things out and as soon as I scrolled down to aileron calibration the system rebooted. It does this every time I repeat this sequence.

Also, when I shut off the Master today, I didn't get the power off countdown timer... And all the buttons were unresponsive. Holding down the first button shut it down.

10.1, SVD1000 with battery plus SVD700 with no battery, single ADAHRS, dual axis AP, 261 transponder.

Is this a known bug?

Interesting occurrence, Vern. I have had ZERO issues with my SV software - until yesterday. Upon shutdown I stayed on b/up battery power and downloaded my EMS data (as I always do). The download appeared to be frozen on 3%. Eventually the screen turned to the boot screen - showing all the map/software dates - it then shut down. Coincidental to 10.1...? I don't know. What I do know is that I have never had it happen prior to yesterday.

Later today I will try the same sequence on the second screen.  I will also reload the system s/w to see if the bug clears.

...update: the second screen worked fine. I forced a  network load and the problem went away.
Explain that!

...oops, spoke too soon. Rebooted both screens and D700 reported a boot error then will no longer boot at all. 125 works to restart but all i get is a grey screen. Looks like its FUBAR.

No known bug, but I think we've seen something similar recently (once, so we could be chasing dissimilar ghosts here). Try disconnecting the backup battery if you can and/or the SkyView network connections on the display that's not booting to see if that changes anything.

Nope, stone cold dead display except for some dim flickering. Unit appears on the SVN from my other screen, but no display. Waiting for RMA to ship back. Odd this seemed to happen coincidentally with forced network load from the other screen.
