Dynon: how about a "de-clutter" button? It would remove "layers" from the map page. In the image above, I'd like to see the runway alignment relative to my position but I'm overwhelmed with other items.
Sure, I could drill down through menus and configure the map differently. Or zoom and pan. But not at 5 miles from the airport.
A single 10-inch SkyView display is all I can fit in my panel. I like to run a constant 40/40/20 screen setup (PFD/Map/EMS) and that yields an area not much larger than a 3"X5" index card. That is one busy screen on which to view a map with terrain, airspace, intersections, navaids, and now traffic and weather too.
I like the "de-clutter" feature the old Garmin GPSMAP-196 has. Press the "Enter" key and the map sheds highways. Press it again and something else disappears. Press it enough and all that remains is the aircraft symbol and course line. Press it once more and everything is restored.
If this request is considered favorably I will present some more <g>. But the inverse is not true <g>.
