The latest version of software has new alert messages for conditions that previously you had to notice more subdle behaviors. For example, if the transponder was set up as a device that was connected to SkyView, but not connected, or not powered on, or not actually part of the system, you'd see a red X in the transponder status area. Now, in 3.3 and beyond, you get specific messages from the SkyView alerts area above button 8. So a few things here:

-Do you actually have a Dynon transponder? If not, make sure it's not selected on any of the displays' serial ports
-If you have a transponder, make sure that the serial port on each display is configured identically. Also, confirm that both SkyView displays (if you have more than 1) have a physical connection to the transponder, per the manual's instructions.
-The transponder module doesn't have a circuit breaker or other switch that's in the off position, does it?
-Beyond that - there's nothing about an update that touches the software on the transponder or should affect the configuration. If neither of the above helps you find the issue, you might give our tech support staff a call.
