Firmware versions

I am running version 5.0 on my D100, D120 and HS34 with no apparent problems, I noticed that the latest version on the web site is 5.0.2 however when I tried to update the system it said that the version was already installed and did I want to reinstall. I said no and re-checked the  installed version which said 5.0.0.
Does the program check for point releases or just main version releases, is there anything in the 5.0.2 version that is required if the system seems to be working OK (nothing specific in the release notes).
Another question is I have a heading display in the lower right corner of the D100 below the altimeter setting and I cannot figure the declutter setting to remove this.
Thanks
Dave

I can't answer the first question off the top of my head over the weekend, but the heading number is the setting of your heading bug. If you want it gone, you need to turn off the heading bug.

Any way to keep the heading bug on the tape but not have the numerical readout on the lower right?

5.0.2 is just a minor update to the PC Support Program installer. It fixes some situations where the installation could get corrupted, resulting in a faulty load of the Dynon product. It loads the same version of firmware on all Dynon products as 5.0.0.

As currently implemented, the heading bug display at lower right cannot be disassociated from the heading bug being toggled on.
