Hi,
getting more and more intrigued by your products given the new updates, so I am doing a bit more research on how I could install an EMS, likely a D180, on my Pipistrel Virus.
I will surely have a bunch of questions in the next few days, but let me start with one regarding the flap position indicator.
I have read the EMS documentation, and it clearly says that calibration should be started from 0 degrees flaps going down to full flaps, with a minimum of 2 points and a maximum of 5. I take that you do a linear interpolation for the intermediate flap positions, corrected if you have more than just 2 readings.
But what about cases like mine, where the all-composite flaperons on my machine also come with a negative flap position, to be used in cruise?
My flap settings thus are -5 degrees, 0, 9 and 18. Just 4 positions with a latch at every one, but with one which is negative. How does the EMS cope with a case like this?
Also, would it not be nice to have V-speed alerts at certain flap settings? My machine must have negative flaps above 70 knots, and it would be nice to have the EMS scream at me should I forget to put them in the negative setting (the alert could be something like "check flaps").
Thanks and ciao, Luca
