Flaps overspeed alarm based on contact input

I have a microswitch that simply indicates when the flaps are deployed. I input this to the ems via a CONTACT widget.

Is there any way to use a CONTACT input as a parameter for the flaps overspeed alarm or am I stuck with just using the POSITION parameter? I can kludge it by calibrating the switch to 0 and -40 degrees, but that's not representative of reality.

Thx, Vern

You'd need to kludge it. You don't have to display the flaps widget though, you just need to have it calibrated so we know when flaps are up or down. If you hook the switch to two GP inputs, you can still display the contact. If you're really fancy, I think you can edit the config file by hand to show the flaps as a contact and thus only use up one GP input.

Sounds feasible. What I ended up doing is programming the flaps to 0 and 1 (degrees), so now my display shows the flaps arc with a 0 or a 1... kind of a binary representation, which is acceptable for me.
