FLIGHT ANGLE PITCH ADJUST

Hi all,

our flight club has a brandnew Dynamic WT 9 airplane with Dynon Skyview D1000 Display and ADAHRS Module. After several flights, I recognized, that the pitch was not shown correctly. See the attached picture. And I'm quite sure, that it was ok during the first flights.

In the Dynon documentation SkyView_System_Installation_Guide-Rev_AG-v15_4.pdf I found on page 51 the PFD Setup menu in which stood, that there is a possible adjustment available.

Pushing knobs 7 and 8 and enter the Setup Menu, there should be a way to adjust the displayed pitch of the waterline symbol. Unfortunately I didn't have this setup menu. Starting the display with the Dynon USB-Stick attached I have only the software Menu (Picture attached).

Do I need another software on the USB device to enter this menu and is this the right way adjusting the pitch or is this maybe a problem of the installed ADAHRS Module?

Thank you for your comments :)

Matthias

go back a few pages to 3-10 and you'll see attachment- chose the "PFD Setup" and thats where you adjust the angle. your screen shows under the "system settings"

You will need to adjust this in flight if you want it straight and level when you are S&L. To do that you have to access the full menu. and then go to PFD setup.

Yepp, I tried that. Unfortunately I didn't get this Setup Menu. The system automatically jumps in the software menu and there is no chance to go one step back.
As you can see on the attached picture, there is no white arrow to go back and the UPGRADE SYSTEM SOFTWARE Menu is grayed out.
I think, the problem is the stick I received.
I tried this also with the second USB device and the second display and vice versa without change of the results :(

The adjustment has nothing to do with USB sticks or loading any software. Just go to System Setup->PFD Setup where you will find the adjust pitch control. Also, to go back one step push the key labeled "Exit"

While pushing exit I will leave the menu and I'm back in PFD view! As I wrote, I'm not able to go one step back.

Pushing Knob 7+8 means I will be directly in the Software Menu! There is no Setup Menu before!

If this is not a behavior of the USB stick, so what else could it be?

I note that pitch adjust should be available in flight setup. I’m not sure you tried that.

Then there is czech aircraft SB that says holding button 7 while booting SV from off will put you into a setup mode. Could you try that?

Hi sunfish, I will try that the next time I'm in the cockpit which takes a few days.

Thank you all for your comments, I appreciate that :)

It's almost certainly got nothing to do with the USB stick. Prove it to yourself. Take the stick out and see if your menus change.

As noted, this is in all likelihood the way your aircraft manufacturer has configured the system (i.e., locked out user access to all the setup/configuration options).
