:-?Can the legend of the flap indicator be changed?. We are not using the flap indicator for the original purpose but would like to use it as a speed brake position indicator and would like to name it "Speed Brake".

You cannot rename it in the D-180.

You could use a contact input, which is only on or off, and name that though.

That's a good point, especially if your speed brakes have only "extended" and "retracted" positions. Won't be as nice if they have, like flaps, infinitely variable positioning.

Thank you for the info.
If we cannot rename it can we remove it from the display?
We intend to use a position indicator but could use a series of position switches on the actuator, and associated lights

HI We are now in the final fit stage and i am looking at the interface possibilities with the Garmin GDU370. The manual suggests this is possible via the rs232 but to date I have been unable to find out what data would be shared, or even if it is worthwhile, any ideas out there?? :-/

The FlightDEK-D180 will display HSI information generated by the GPS's couse when connected. You'll need to connect any of the GDU370's serial ports to one of the D180's serial ports as described in the manuals. When setting up the serial port on the 370, select the "Aviation In/NMEA & VHF Out" option. You can leave the D180 set to auto. Refer to your Dynon and Garmin installation/pilots manuals for more details, and give us a call at 425-402-0433 if you need a little more personal assistance.
