First post, lurker for years. Nearing first flight, this forum has been very helpful.

Everything works, I am pleased. Dual HDX, Dynon Com as #1, Garmin as #2, PS EX360 Audio Panel.
Observation is that Dynon Com has a noticeable white noise, background hash, not 60hz when on freq 126.XX.
Other frequency's totally clear and great audio. When someone transmits on 126.XX the volume of the white noise drops substantially.
Garmin Radio free from this issue.
Adjusting squelch and trying different headsets no change, various combinations of components powered down have no effect.
Situation present in or out of hangar.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Amazingly, I've seen this happen with a USB charge port, like the one you would put in to charge your iPad or phone. Pulled the wire off it, and the problem went away. Yes, it was frequency specific as well.

Might be prudent to try depowering everything else one by one to see if it is something external to the com system causing it.

Are you using ships battery and not external power to test?

Thanks for the quick response.
There may be a golden nugget in there. Operating off a lead acid battery on the floor with charger attached to battery, long leads to aircraft
and an I pad...........
I will run this down this weekend.
Thanks

.....on the floor with charger -

Maybe it's the overhead lights also ? or some other electrical device - testing comms etc inside buildings can give real issues.
