I have EFii system and hdx in G3. Initially the k setting was set to 010000 and based on several flights figured FF is running about 20% high. Problem is when I try and lower factor below 010000 the box turns read and won’t accept lower K factor? Anyone experienced this?

I assume you mean that you've got a System32 EFII from FlyEFII (that's what the pics look like on your web page). Per the FlyEFII System32 6-19 installation manual:

Fuel Flow signal out – blue wire. This wire provides a signal that mimics a Floscan 232 or Red Cube type fuel flow sensor. You do not need a mechanical fuel flow sensor with System32. The fuel flow signal is derived electronically. This signal wire should be connected directly to the fuel flow signal input of your engine monitor. Use the K factor parameter in your engine monitor to calibrate the engine monitor fuel flow reading. Higher K factor = lower reading and vice versa. If you decrease the K factor by 20%, you will get a 20% higher fuel flow reading, etc.

Since you're saying that the FF is running high, you want to RAISE the K factor, not lower it. And if you're running 20% high, you want to raise the K factor by 20%, from 10K to 12K, then adjust from there. The K factor and FF reading are inversely proportional, not proportional.

I was going to reply something along the lines of RTFM - but Kevin Eldridge? Nahhh, I'll cut him some slack, I watched him bail out of a burning airplane at Phoenix. Respect.
Just so that I can calibrate, do I actually have to:
  • Bail out of a burning airplane
  • TELL you that I bailed out of a burning airplane
  • Have my propeller come off and glide to a safe landing
  • TELL you that my propeller came off and I glided to a safe landing
  • Something else
in order for me not to be subject to the "RTFM" admonition?:)

Oh - BTW, "Gods country" in your location should have an apostrophe, unless you're merely referring to the multiple gods that might live there :) .
