Just a question regarding fuel level calc. I followed the EMS fuel calc settings on my SV screen added 10 litres at a time when I got to the 70 litre it said it was full however i added another 10 as this is what is required followed the instructions, 80ltr total. I guess the senders had reached their limits. The reading on the guages says 50+ so I am wondering if this can be amended to read 80tlr or am I stuck with it?

You have an RV ? Their float senders can't measure the last lot of fuel so Dynon only gets what the float gives, just add the last amount to the Dynon.
FWIW it's the first 10 to 20 litres that are real important to me ;D

usually the portion the gauges does not read is enough for 1hr reserve, in my plane it is 3 gallons per side which is about an hour

In my case it says +24 gallons because that is what it showed at 24 gallons, I use the Dynon to report the 30 gallons when I fill it up.
What is critical is that you get the redcube or whatever fuel flow you use to be accurate, floats are totally not accurate. The only requirement in the US is that is show empty accurately ;) I have my fuel flow setup that if I go to fill up I can guess to within 1/4 of a gallon how much I will need.
In other words, you should setup the floats to read the actual number it shows "full" and rely on the fuel flow information to tell Dynon what the actual fuel is on board. Use the Dynon fuel flow info as the floats as a backup. My fuel flow reads 46 gallons when the floats show 23 on each side, so I know when it tells me I can go another 800 miles that it is probably right (at that time anyway)

Thanks everyone for your help, I thought the senders were the issue as it is reasonably logical when going through the set up seems you just run out of voltage change. I look forward to checking the red cube flow and use this as the most accurate measure. I have had one experience in an old Piper Colt where the fuel guages had stopped bouncing and landed in a lather of sweat with nothing in the tank but air. I vowed I would never do that again.

after 6.5 years my RV7 is almost ready to head for the sky, yes I am very excited.

Cheers
