Fuel Pressure Sender issue

My fuel pressure sender is indicating 0.2psi even with the engine shutdown and the boost pump off.

Is there a way to put an offset in the system or is my sendor bad?

This is a carbed system that operates at low pressures so 0.2 error is a large % of the low end limit of 0.5 psi

It could be fuel pressure from the fuel being at a height that would give a reading due to the sensitivity of the sensor. Just my guess if you changed the sensor lately.

Next time you run the engine turn off the fuel a few minutes "while on the ground" before you turn the engine off and see what reading you get. You may find it did go down.

You may just have to add the 0.2 to your min pressure reading.

Give Dynon a call and see if it's normal to do that, and even if it is, I'd ask for another one to try.

There isn't a way to set an offset. The sensors do have a few tenths of a PSI of "stickiness", we've found, that often goes away once you have the aircraft vibration and variation of the fuel pressure jostling things about a bit. Does it change if you tap the sensor? Unfortunately, we've searched and so far failed to find a reasonably priced pressure sensor that has better characteristics at the very low end. If the above doesn't help, give us a call and we can possibly try another sensor.

My Dynon supplied fuel sender now reads 0.8 Bar all the time, and drops to 0.7 when the electric pump is turned on,
It used to read over 1 Bar when pump on and drop a bit when pump turned off. Ive have checked pump oeration - all OK
Waste of time now - done around 100hrs
