Fuel pressure transducer

Hi Guys,

Last week I started seeing a failed indicator (red X) on my fuel pressure gauge when I turned on the electric boost pump in my RV7.

Normal fuel pressure with the mechanical pump is around 25psi and the electric fuel pump (fuel injected engine) takes this to about 30psi.

Besides the fail indicator with the electric pump on everything else continues to function normally, engine does not miss a beat with the electric pump on.

As soon as I turn the electric fuel pump off, the gauge returns to its normal working mode and indicates 25psi.

Any help would really be appreciated.

If you have the VDO style transducer then I'd replace it with the new reliable Kavlico unit.

Yes its the VDO style, have there been issues with these senders?

In a word, yes, just not reliable enough IMO
